A one-of- a-kind Learning and Skills Center opened on February 4, 2018. This Center serves the indigenous Mayas living in San Martin, Jilotepeque and the surrounding 200 villages, a catchment area of approximately 100,000 people.
Students can take advantage of a range of classes to build their skills in a variety of courses including sewing, computer technology, cosmetology, cooking, baking and electrical installation. In addition to skills training, learners can enroll in literacy, business and English classes. To advance those who are motivated to start their own business, a second tier of classes is available to develop marketing techniques.
To enhance core knowledge, personal health, hygiene, and childhood development classes are offered in collaboration with the staff at our Obras Sociales Health Center.
The Learning and Skills Center is open seven days a week to all ages.DONATE NOW
