Lois Werner, President & Co-Founder: Born and raised in Michigan, Lois graduated from Lansing Business University and Northwestern Michigan College. She earned her Business Administration degree from Florida International University. Lois started her career in banking in Traverse City. In 1986, she moved to Naples, Florida with her husband Ken. Lois has broad experience in philanthropy and donates her time for People for Guatemala. She lives permanently near Antigua, Guatemala.
Sharon M. Carlson, Ed.D.: Sharon received her doctorate in education in 1988 and has 40 years’ teaching experience. She recently retired from the Collier County School District. Her expertise is developing reading and math curriculums. She created Teachers Helping Teachers, an innovative program to train teachers in rural Guatemala schools how to teach reading and math. She lives in Conover, Wisconsin.
Sanda Brown: Sanda has over 30 years of banking and marketing experience and has served as a director for the Naples Area Chamber of Commerce, Citizens National Bank (now Ever Bank) and the March of Dimes. She was voted Naples Citizen of the Year in 2001. Sanda has extensive volunteer experience with the March of Dimes, Project Help, and Special Olympics in Collier County. At the end of 2018 she will retire from AAA of South Florida after 10 years working in their travel and marketing areas. She and her husband Donn moved to Naples in 1978 with their two children, Christine (Gardner) and Donnie.
